Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information this website (www.rohitrajendran.in) collects, why it's collected, and how you can access or remove it. The site is operated by Rohit Rajendran. It's written to reflect the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and it applies to every visitor regardless of where you are.

What I collect

I only collect what the site needs to function and to let you reach me:

• Contact form details. When you use the contact form, I collect your first name, last name, email address, an optional phone number, and your message.
• Scheduling details. If you book a call through the Calendly link, Calendly collects the name, email, and any answers you provide to set up the meeting.
• Usage data. Like most sites, this one records basic analytics (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring links) through Google Analytics, and standard server logs including your IP address through the hosting provider.

Why I collect it

Contact and scheduling details are used only to reply to you and arrange work or conversations you've asked for. Usage data helps me understand which content is useful and keep the site working. I don't sell your information, and I don't use it for advertising.

Who it's shared with

I use a small set of third-party services to run the site. Each receives only the data needed for its function, and each has its own privacy policy:

• Formspree processes contact form submissions and forwards them to my email.
• Google Analytics provides the site's usage statistics.
• Calendly handles call scheduling.
• Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs.

Some of these providers are based overseas, so your information may be stored or processed outside Australia and India.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics uses cookies to measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser extension to opt out of Google Analytics, without losing access to the site.

How long it's kept

Contact messages are kept while we're in touch and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to the analytics provider's default settings. You can ask me to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. To make any of these requests, email me at rohit@rohitrajendran.in. If you're not satisfied with how I handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
